Introduce yourself!
First of all, I’d like to thank you for the opportunity to give you this interview. I’m honored.
Well, I’m Brazilian and my name is Adriano Augusto. I am 39 years old. I live in a city called São Bernado do Campo which is very close to the city of São Paulo.
I am married & have a child of 5 years. Unfortunately I do not have much to talk about myself. I lead an ordinary life – working hard everyday to pay the bills and enjoy life with my family.

Are you a professional artist? If so, since how long have you been into this field?
Yes, I can tell you that since 2012, I am a professional artist. Before that, I did arts just for fun. From the day I earned some money by charging for some art I did, I can say that I became a pro. Professional, for me, is the person who serves their clients with respect and education, meets the deadlines and goals previously agreed upon in the negotiation.
Now a days many who call themselves professionals unfortunately are not, and as a consequence they end up leaving a bad impression of our profession.
What are your skills? I mean ,what kind of works do you create?
Well, what I like to do most are manipulations of images using Photoshop. The dark and fantasy themes are my favorite.
However, lately I’ve been very engaged in the production of book covers / e book covers.

Can you show us some of your favorite works from your portfolio? Please include why you had created those artworks? Any reason behind those special works? 🙂
Honestly, generally I do not have a special reason to create an art. Except when it is some commissioned work or some contest. Other than that, I just try to put my ideas into Photoshop in the best possible way.

These are created for various reasons. I really enjoyed creating them with various themes.

Do you take references from other artists for creating your work? Any favorite artists you love?
Of course, I always look for references to create a new art. It’s a part of the process. We are constantly learning. I will mention some Brazilians, Some of them are my friends. Some others are just an admiration for their great work.

How long does it take to complete a single artwork?
A few days ago, I learned this from my friend Adriana. Do not hurry to finish an art. It takes time for the art to finish. Look at different times to correct. Finish it with perfection until it is exactly the way you want it to be.
What software do you use for your work?
Currently, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator along with my Wacom Intuos.
Which software do you wish to learn in the future?
I would like to learn how to work with 3D. I do not know which software because I do not know any of them. But ZBrush seems like a good option.

Anything else you want to share with our readers?
I would like people to value personal relationships more, not just money. I see many friends being undone because of the money. There is a gigantic market and a sunrise waiting for all of us. Just pursue your goals and make happen with ethics. Give respect to other professionals.
