I did a Newborn photography course right after I fell pregnant and did my first shoot for my daughter. So its been 2 and half years now since then there is no looking back. Newborn shoots are my niche and I love photographing newborns.

Do you use any editing software?

Yes, I use Photoshop and Lightroom.

How do you get inspired? Any favorite photographers?

My favorite photographer is Sissi Jackie Wang, A Sydney based Newborn photographer. Her newborn pictures look so heartwarming and cute. A lot of effort goes behind the scenes to get those results. I get inspired by her hard work and persistence. It is not easy to capture newborns.

Newborns are so delicate to handle. Right? How do you photograph them so beautifully?

Oh yes they are! At first its hard to handle or understand how to handle but then we get to know their pattern the more we work with newborns.

I shoot almost everyday and sometimes 2 newborn sessions in a day.

I now exactly know what they need the moment I hold them. When we start the session basically nothing happens the first 30-45 mins. I just cuddle and talk to make them feel comfortable in the new environment once they are familiar with my voice and smell they let me do my job. Having babies trust me is my key step during the session that’s how I can pose them so beautifully to capture those moments.

How long does it take for a photography session? Do you finish it off in a day or two?

Ha ha, well babies don’t give much time, like I said 1st hour of the session would be me getting along with the baby. The moment baby is calm and happy with me I start off, I would have my set ups ready in the studio and I just go non stop with my workflow and by 1 to 1.5 hours i would have got all the pictures I wanted to take. In case baby is hungry in between we do take a break to feed and change nappy overall my sessions are less than 3 hours.

I keep posting behind the scenes and my work on my Instagram page very frequently please do visit my page and let me know what you think. Also visit my website to see all of my work.
